Thirty rural South Plains communities may be getting into the cable and Internet business. Reese Technology Center and Blue Moon Solutions are now offering what's called Vision 20-20.
The idea is to bring mobile wi-fi to rural communities which in turn could generate new business and revenue.
"We think it would lower the cost of service, telephone service as well as eventually cable and high speed Internet connection," says Dimmitt Mayor Wayne Collins.
Collins says this is just like the city selling water and making a profit.
