Alzheimer's Awareness

Alzheimer's disease will be on the minds of many Thursday evening as Dr. Paula Grammas, a highly regarded expert in the field, is set to speak on the illness at the Lubbock Club at 6:30 p.m. 

Dr. Grammas is recognized as one of the nation's top researchers in this disease and serves at Texas Tech over the Institute of Healthy Aging.

Also Thursday night, at the same time, the Alzheimer's Association is holding a candlelight vigil at LakeRidge United Methodist Church in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to the disease.

All this, with more to come, because November is national Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month.
