Chocolate Toffee Matzos

CHOCOLATE TOFFEE MATZOS

1/2 pound MATZO (some may be left over)
1 cup Butter ( 2 sticks)
1 cup Brown sugar
12oz Chocolate Chips (2 cups)
1 cup Chopped pecans (optional)
1 cup Chopped toffee pieces

Line jelly roll pan (15x10x1) with aluminum foil. Fit matzos in one layer, covering entire pan. Some may be left over.

Melt butter and brown sugar in heavy pot over stove. Boil until mixture coats a spoon (about 3 to 5 minutes). Pour this mixture over matzo and spread evenly. Bake at 400-450 degrees for 4 minutes. Remove from oven.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over and return to oven for 1 minute. Remove from oven and gently spread melted chocolate to cover as completely as possible. Sprinkle with nuts and/or chopped toffee candy, if desired.

Cool completely in refrigerator. Freeze until solid. Remove foil from back, break into pieces. Store in freezer in covered container.
