Quizno's Classic Subs at 5705 4th Street had four critical violations.
- Shredded cheese was found at 53 degrees. Cold foods must be 41 degrees or colder.
- Hard-boiled eggs were found without a date-mark.
- Toxic items were stored by gloves and near plastic bin lids.
- Dish washing solution did not have adequate sanitizer.
Management at Quizno's says all violations have been corrected. The report shows that as well.

Mar y Tierra at 2722 50th Street had 10 critical violations.
- A large container of menudo was not properly cooled and had to be discarded.
- Beans were between 42-46 degrees, raw chicken was found at 69 degrees and sliced tomatoes were 80 degrees, almost double the safe temperature of 41 degrees.
- Shell stock records for raw oysters were not found. These must be kept for 90 days to tract where the sea food originated if a food borne illness outbreak occurs.
- A piece of shrimp was found in a container of flour.
- Menudo, shredded chicken and beef were not date marked.
- A hand wash sink did not have hand towels.
- Toxic items were stored next to food contact surfaces.
- Thermometers were not provided.
The inspector observed multiple unclean food contact surfaces including:
- Ice scoop stored in unclean ice machine.
- Heavily soiled potato grater.
- Soiled bins for sliced tomatoes, avocados and jalapeno's.
- Inside of sugar and flour bins were soiled.
- Soiled spatulas and utensils.
- Chipped plates and bowls.
The restaurant does not have a Heimlich chart nor does it have disclosures or advisories regarding the consumption of undercooked eggs, beef or raw oysters.
We tried contacting management at Mar y Tierra, they did not return our phone call. The report shows most violations were corrected while the inspector was present.
