With all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, sometimes seniors are overlooked. That is why the Home Instead Senior Care Center is having its third annual be a "Santa to a Senior" program.
The goal is to collect Christmas gifts for about 300 seniors in Lubbock this year.
[cg=ann laurence/volunteer santa senior "I think that there is still a little child in every single one of us that when we wake up on Christmas morning we want a surprise," says Ann Laurence, a volunteer for Santa Senior.
There are many people who live in isolated conditions and may be left out so we just like to be a voice for them and advocate for them. Everybody deserves to be remembered at Christmas time, says Tracy Baugh, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Center.
So, if you would like to remember one of our seniors with a gift this Christmas, you can drop off a gift at the Home Instead office anytime this week or you can just bring it to a wrapping party at Lakeridge United Methodsit Church next Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
