Leach Not Going To Miami; Canes Hire Defensive Coordinator - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock
The University of Miami has promoted their defensive coordinator Randy Shannon to be the Hurricanes new head coach. It's reportedly a 4 year deal worth $4 million. Shannon becomes only the sixth African-American coach in Division I-A football.
This ends the speculation that Mike Leach may leave the Red Raiders after 7 years. Tech can now focus on the Insight Bowl which is December 29th against Minnesota in Arizona.
