HIV Testing Without Consent

Today, the Lubbock Board of Health discussed HIV testing without consent for patients when they enter a healthcare facility.

This is based on new recommendations from the centers for disease control and prevention. Doctors usually ask the patient before they perform an HIV test.

The Health Department is going to review if this would be a good idea for the city.
