A new report from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center is turning heads nationwide tonight.
It shows that since 2003, breast cancer rates have dropped dramatically more than seven percent. That was the year millions of menopausal women stopped taking hormonal replacement therapy because a study then showed the pills raised the risk of tumors.
The experts say this suggests there is a link between hormone therapy and breast cancer especially since the cancer cases dropped the most among women 50 and older, the age group taking hormones.
