Friends and family are mourning the loss of 31-year-old Mark Cannon of Lubbock. He was killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday. It's the second Military death on the South Plains this week. NewsChannel 11's Ben Lawson has more.

A Lubbock father is mourning the loss of his only son to the War on Terror. 31-year-old Mark Russell Cannon was shot in the chest Tuesday, while on ground patrol in Afghanistan. NewsChannel 11's Holly Kennedy sat down with Mark's father who shared memories of a son who was honored to fight for America.

A 13-month-old Lubbock girl is dead Wednesday after drowning in her bathtub. Police say no one was watching the toddler when she drowned around 1 p.m. and two other children were in the bathtub with her. NewsChannel 11's Justin Michaels has the latest in this tragedy.

Around 1:00 p.m., Lubbock Police responded to an apartment in the 4600 block of Boston. The child was reportedly unresponsive, and not breathing.
