It's estimated that 10 to 15% of the population suffers from some form of Dyslexia. But did you know there is free service in Lubbock waiting to give those kids a better chance in life?
The Scottish Rite Learning Center offers the world's largest program for language disabled students thanks to the generous support of area masons. That group is bringing parents and teachers a new opportunity to learn about Dyslexia this Friday in a special seminar at the civic center.
It's aimed at helping teachers but again, parents are welcome too. If you'd like to attend, call Scottish Rite so they can have enough materials there for everybody on Friday.
That number is 765-9150. The seminar is free but if you want to eat lunch, that's $12 and you do need to let them know if you plan to eat lunch when you call.
