Inhaled Nicotine Vaccine

Vaccine researchers are working on ways to turn-off the body's craving for nicotine.

There is already a vaccine in clinical studies right now that is an injection.  But now, researchers at the maker, Aktiv-Dry, believe they can find a way to put down the injection and get that vaccine into the body by inhaling it instead.

Aktiv-dry has already received a grant from the government to convert its liquid nicotine vaccine into a powder.  That dried vaccine will then be housed in an inhaler type tube so that it can be breathed in through the mouth.  The idea is the vaccine will stimulate an antibody response that will turn off the craving
