2010 ABC Rodeo

History of ABC Rodeo

The Downtown Chapter of the American Business Clubs started the ABC Rodeo 67 years ago for the sole reason to sponsor and maintain the then Boys Clubs of Lubbock.  Over time the Boys Club became the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lubbock with three sites.  Since the origin of the Rodeo, AMBUCS has raised over a million dollars to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lubbock.

The 2010 ABC Pro Rodeo is the 68th year for the Rodeo.  The rodeo was originally held in Jones Stadium, Fair Park Coliseum and now Municipal Coliseum.  One of the unique things about the ABC Pro Rodeo is the fact that for all 68 years, the Beutler Family has served as the Stock Contractor - beginning with the father to the grandson. ABC stands for  American Businessmen's Clubs popularly known as AMBUCS.

The ABC Rodeo is the major fundraiser for the Lubbock Downtown Chapter of the AMBUCS.

For more than 68 years, the philanthropy of the Lubbock Downtown Chapter of AMBUCS has been to raise money to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lubbock.
