Time again for an update on our challenge.
Our group is still large in numbers, but in pounds, we're getting smaller. It's Weight Watchers, Week Four.
The same feet are back for the "Lose It Lubbock" challenge like Ms. Hankins, Principal at Wester Elementary, Eddie McBride, President of the Chamber and Chris Albers, the happiest employee at KCBD.
Actually, this meeting should bring a smile to all these folks, because chocolate can have a positive effect on the body by decreasing the risk of heart disease and increasing endorphins hormones that lift us up and make us feel good.
So this time, our show and tell and taste is all about desserts from the Weight Watcher cookbook - the Craving Blaster and Cherry Fudge Brownies and Key Lime Pie. Remember: dark chocolate is the better choice.
"The more cocoa chocolate has in it, the better it is for you," said Teena Beadles of Weight Watchers.
So, how much did our group lose this week? 21.1 POUNDS! That means in all, we've lose 115.2 pounds. Denise has lost 10 pounds and Diane has lost 15.6 pounds and we're just a third of the way into our challenge.
"So go out this week. Enjoy the holiday, Valentines. But remember, portions and plan," said Teena.
