Does a regular work out at the gym really help reduce your risk of breast cancer? A new study finds the answer is overwhelmingly "yes."
The University of Wisconsin study is based on a survey of more than 15,000 women. It found that women who exercised regularly had a reduced risk of invasive breast cancer provided they did not have a family history of the disease.
Specifically researchers say six or more hours a week of vigorous activity could reduce the risk of breast cancer by 23 percent.
