City Wants Smokers to Have Fresh Start

Did you make a New Year's resolution to quit smoking? How are you doing so far? If you'd like a little help to stick to that resolve, the City of Lubbock is answering the call. It's making available through the Lubbock Health Department a free program called Fresh Start, which was designed by the American Cancer Society.

It offers some good strategies and a support group to help you kick the habit. The program offers four one hour group sessions starting January 15th, which is a week from tomorrow. The program is free, but you need to sign up by Monday, the 14th. If you're interested, call the Lubbock Health Department at (806) 775-2940.

If you get a voice recording by Chris Yott, he's one of the health educators lining up the program. Just leave your name and phone number to sign up.
