Protecting the Food Supply

Imagine background checks for waitors and supermarket cashiers? That's one of the suggestion coming from the government. The Food and Drug Administration is asking the food industry to tighten its protection against terrorist attacks on our food supply. The Food and Drug Administration also suggests keeping a closer eye on salad bars in restaurants and grocery stores to protect against contamination.

The government wants companies to use locked and sealed containers for transporting foods. Consumer groups argue, though, that it won't be much help to just suggest voluntary guidelines. For more information click on the links below.
