In an effort to recover from a decline in earnings, Krispy Kreme debuts a doughnut for the health conscious.

The new 100 percent whole wheat treat has 180 calories, carmel flavoring and is covered with the original glaze and it's available today.  

Krispy Kreme's sales started slipping three years ago during the low carb diet craze. Shares that once traded at $50 bottomed out last year at about $4.
