Free Glaucoma Screenings

Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness, and African Americans are at an increased risk. On Wednesday, City Councilman T.J. Patterson declared January Glaucoma Awareness Month in Lubbock.

He encourages folks to take advantage of three more free screenings this week.

  • Thursday at Parkway Elementary from 3:00 to 5:00
  • Friday at United Supermarket on Parkway Drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Saturday at Estacado High School from 1:00 to 3:00
