Nazareth's Late Charge Leads to 1A DII Finals

The #3 Nazareth Swifts scored 14 points in the final 2:08 of the 1A State Semi-finals against #2 Goodrich to advance to the finals, 51-47. 

Nazareth charged back after being down six in the fourth quarter with 2:08 and went on a 4-0 run with 45 seconds left as Senior Dustin Schulte shut the door with 4 straight free throws.  Schulte lead the Swifts with 26 points and 9 rebounds, with Taylor Schulte adding 14. 

Nazareth now faces the winner of Laneville and Garden City in the finals on Saturday at 7:00 pm at the Erwin Center in Austin.  NewsChannel 11 Sports Colin McElroy will have highlights of the game, plus #3 Shallowater's thrilling overtime win against #2 Jarrell on the news at 6 and 10.
