Dog and cat food is still being pulled off the shelves in Lubbock, after a nationwide recall. The food is blamed for liver failure and the deaths of at least ten pets.
The shelves are virtually empty at PetSmart, in Lubbock. The retailer started clearing its shelves Friday, after Menu Foods issued a recall of wet and canned pet food.
The recall affects 48 brands of dog food and 40 brands of cat food, including Iams, Eukanuba and Science Diet.
Veterinarians are warning pet owners to look for signs of kidney failure, that includes a decrease in appetite.
Both PetSmart and Wal-Mart in Lubbock, will give you a full refund.
