One of the newest locations to buy alcohol in Lubbock County already has two strikes against them for selling to minors and you may be surprised how NewsChannel 11 learned of these violations.
The Kwick Food Mart in Wolfforth began selling alcohol at the end of January. Since then the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission has cited them twice for selling alcohol to minors, once in February and once in March.
TABC looks at each violation on a case by case basis, but a third strike could take away the Kwick Food Mart's liquor license.
"Generally speaking, by the time they hit, depending on what it is, by the time they've hit a third offense they're looking at a potential for cancellation," TABC Enforcement Division Sergeant Michael Lockhart said.
NewsChannel 11 found this information on TABC's webs site. It's a new feature that you can access as well. It will show you the number of violations here in Lubbock County and across the South Plains. If you would like to check it out for yourself, click here.
