This is a good night to stay up all night for a good cause.
More than 2,000 people are gathered at Frenship High School Friday night for the annual Relay For Life. Where 75 teams will walk or run the track all night to symbolize the sleepless nights many face during cancer treatment. The event began at 7 a.m. Friday evening with the traditional lighting of hundreds of luminaires, each candle lit in honor or in memory of a cancer patient in this area.
This fundraiser is expected to raise more than $200,000 for the American Cancer Society, money which, for the most part, will stay here to help fund education, programs and services for cancer patients in this area.
Music, and activities will continue all night long. You can make donations there or online. To make a donation to relay for life, or to get more information, click here.
