Green Tea Helps Arthritis

There could be a new reason to drink green tea. It may help relieve some of the inflammation that comes with rheumatoid arthritis leading to pain, swelling, inflammation, and eventually, erosion of the bone and cartilage of the joint.

Now, using tissue samples from rheumatoid arthritis patients, researchers at the University of Michigan Medical School say a compound from green tea called EGCG appears to block the molecules that cause inflammation.
