Infants & TV

More and more parents are letting their babies watch television despite warnings from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Doctors recommend kids under the age of two watch no TV, but according to a new study 40 percent of three month olds are already watching some TV every day. As they get older, 90 percent of two year olds are watching TV about an hour and a half a day and the survey shows that many of those already have a TV in their bedroom.

Experts are concerned because excessive TV viewing has been linked to attention problems, in fact, another study out today finds teens who watch TV for three or more hours each day have an increased risk for ADHD.
