We start at the top with an A+++ Harwell, Mahon and Whiteside Elementary Schools were shining stars this week. They all had flawless health inspections.

Here is a complete list of the restaurants and their violations for the week ending on 5/24/07.

Now to our only school with a critical violation.

Inspectors say chicken nuggets at Ed Irons Middle School were not held at or above the safe temperature of 135 degrees.

The reports shows that violation was corrected during the inspection.

Now to our only low performer.

Inspectors found six critical violations at Wendy's at 2401 19th Street.

  • Cheese and tomatoes were holding above the safe temperature of 41 degrees.
  • A used glove and a piece of paper were found in a hand sink.
  • A hand wash station did not have paper towels.
  • A cooler did not have a thermometer.
  • The restaurant did not document when food is prepared and discarded for time control procedures
  • A soiled ladle was stored with clean dishes and a plastic bin was cracked and chipped.

Management says, "The inspector came in while we were in the process of getting some things changed. All violations have been corrected."

The report shows that all but one of the violations were corrected at the time of the inspection.
