Gas Prices Causing Some Lubbock Motorists to Stay Closer to Home - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The summer travel season is officially underway and this year could be a costly one. So much so that some folks are staying home or scaling back their plans this Memorial Day weekend.

"I was going to go to Nashville, Tennessee," said one Lubbock motorist. "But with these prices I'm not going." Instead, she tells NewsChannel 11 she intends to spend her holiday weekend in New Mexico.

As of Friday afternoon, the average price of unleaded gas in Lubbock remains $3.19.
