Alcohol Sales Could Soon Be Put To A Vote In Abernathy - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

It appears Abernathy residents may soon put alcohol sales to a vote. 

Tuseday, a petition was turned in to call an election for the legalization of beer and wine sales in Abernathy. If passed, it would include packaged sales and by the glass in restaurants.

While 218 signatures were needed, more than 300 were were collected. The signatures must now be verified in order to get the issue on the ballot this November.
