Lubbock Sheriff Headed Overseas for Conference - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A state grant is funding an international trip for Lubbock County Sheriff David Gutierrez. 

County Commissioners unanimously approved the trip Tuesday. Sheriff Gutierrez will be traveling to Italy to speak at an international symposium about efforts to change the Texas prison system and mental issues in Texas jails.
