Texas Tech Head Soccer Coach Felix Oskam announced the signing of Carrie Jones and Lindsey Duke to national letters of intent on Saturday. Carrie Jones, a native of Watauga, Texas, will graduate from Haltom High School in May and will join the Red Raiders this fall.
Wautaga served as a team captain this past season and played all four years on the varsity squad. She was an all-district second team pick in 1999 and 2000 and was named her high school s offensive MVP those same years.
Lindsey Duke, the third player from Lubbock signed by Oskam in this signing period, is a senior at Coronado High School where she has been an outstanding player for the Mustangs. Duke was the district leader in assists in 1999 and was a second team all-district pick that same year. She helped lead Coronado High School to the 1998 bi-district championship and a second place finish in the district in 1999.
