Less than one month after becoming chairman of the Texas Tech Regents, Frank Miller died of a heart attack Friday afternoon. The 55-year-old suffered the heart attack hours after presiding over his first regent meeting as chairman in Dallas.
Miller, a Texas Tech graduate, was appointed to the board in 2003.
Governor Rick Perry issued a statement saying quote: "Texas Tech has lost a favorite son, a steward of pride for the university, and an honorable member of it's board of regents."
