Lubbock Motorcyclist Killed In Austin

A Lubbock motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a truck near the Travis County Expo Center in Northeast Austin.

Forty-six-year-old Roy Fulton was killed Friday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and skidded into oncoming traffic.

The accident happened on Decker Lane near Lindell Road.

The Department of Public Safety says Fulton was attempting to catch up with a group of bikers ahead of him when he lost control crossing some railroad tracks.

He was hit by what officials are calling a 'show fire truck'.

DPS says their preliminary investigation shows speed may have been a factor in the collision.
