Gas Tax Suspension Fails

Lubbock gas prices are still well-over the three dollar mark, but it does not look like the state will be able to help any time soon.

NewsChannel 11 did some checking, and found gas prices in Lubbock ranging between $3.07 and $3.15 per gallon.

Last month, the Texas House proposed an amendment which would suspend the gas tax through the summer months. But in the end, Texas lawmakers could not come to a compromise, and so the legislation failed.
