Lubbock Man Petitions for Ice Skating Rink

With the future of minor league icy hockey in Lubbock still in question, one Lubbock man is trying to bring a recreational ice skating rink to the Hub City. But first, he wants to gage the public's interest.

John McAnally says, "Odessa has a facility. El Paso has a facility. College Station has a relatively new one that's doing well so I'm just trying to get people who have an interest in ice sports an avenue in which to submit their support for such a venue."

Much like a roller skating rink, McAnally says the ice skating rink would be for anyone to use. For more information call McAnally at (806) 543-8854 or (click here).
