A Lubbock motorist was arrested Wednesday morning, after leading police on high speed chase across town.
According to police, Albert Sarinana, 24, stole a pickup truck around 3:45 a.m., from 77th and Avenue P. He then crossed South Loop 289 and led police on a high speed chase that lasted nearly 15 minutes. It ended when the suspect crashed into someones home in the 2200 block of 38th Street.
The crash woke up the neighborhood.
"Well, I was in bed asleep, and had turned over to look at the time to see what time it was and my husband and I got up to look and he says something had happened because there was another police officer," said one witness. "And sure enough this guy was running from them and hit the house."
Sarinana tried to run off on foot, but police captured him seconds later. Charges are pending.
