City Secretary Says It's Too Late to Remove Names - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Another twist in the recall petition for Lubbock city councilwoman Linda DeLeon.

On Thursday, NewsChannel 11 told you at least four people signed affidavits claiming they were misled when they signed the recall petition. But on Friday, the City Secretary says it's too late for those affidavits to be effective, because the petition has already been filed.

The petition fell short by 22 signatures, and the City Secretary is recounting the signatures at the request of petition organizers.
