Petition to Recall Councilwoman Linda DeLeon Fails... Again

NewsChannel 11 has just learned that the petition effort to recall Lubbock City Council woman Linda DeLeon has failed for a second time.

Petition organizers had asked that the petition be recounted after the city showed the petition was short by 22 signatures. Now, they tell us that City Secretary Becky Garza told them they found an additional 17 invalid signatures. This means the petition fell short by a total of 39 signatures.
