Miss Texas Encourages Lubbock Youth

"Never give up" was the message Tuesday as Miss Texas made a stop in the Hub City.

Shilah Phillips came to speak to underprivileged youth in our area about keeping a positive outlook even when times are tough. She spoke to youth from Children's Home of Lubbock, Buckner's Children Home and the Methodist Home.

Tuesday evening, Phillips is scheduled to  give a vocal performance at Cal Farley's Girlstown and speak to the young women there.
