Lubbock Police Imposter Arrested Overnight

A Lubbock man found himself in real handcuffs after he allegedly impersonated a police officer.

The victims tell police a man approached them shortly after 1 a.m., in the 6500 block of Avenue Q. He was armed with a gun, and allegedly asked if they had any drugs. He then pushed the victims against the wall and frisked them in search of drugs. After his search turned up nothing, the suspect fled the scene.

Witnesses contacted police, and officers arrived on the scene shortly thereafter. They found the suspect still in the area, and arrested him as he was getting into his car.

Randall Webb, 41, is facing numberous charges including aggravated assault, impersonating a police officer, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.
