Fourteen Indicted in Connection with Amherst Dairy Raids

Fourteen people now stand indicted in connection with raids at two Amherst dairies last month.

Thursday afternoon, 12 people were indicted for fraud for fake immigrations documents and social security numbers. Two other people arrested in the raid were deported back to Mexico early last month.

Also, two people with connections to the dairies were indicted. They face numerous charges including aiding and abetting for allegedly providing the suspected immigrants with the illegal documentation.

No charges have been filed against the dairy owners.

    Police are investigating a stabbing in east Lubbock early Friday morning. Officers responded to the scene at East 4th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard around 3:50 Friday morning. A male victim was taken to UMC. Police are not releasing his name and condition at this time. Police are still searching for the suspect.
