Taser International Dropped From Family's Lawsuit - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

They're still suing the City of Lubbock and the officer involved, but the Nunez family is dropping "Taser International" from its lawsuit.

Documents filed Wednesday show the family is dismissing the taser maker from their suit.

Juan Nunez, III died in April of 2006 after being tased by police. Officer Matt Doherty says he was just doing his job and felt Nunez was a danger to himself and those around him.

An autopsy showed Nunez died as a result of the tasing, a fall and intoxication.
