Whiteface I.S.D. Gold Medal Winners

It was their idea for wind that made a group of seventh graders from Whiteface I.S.D. winners.

NewsChannel 11 talked with students Jacob Friesen, Kassidy Gandy, Jake Johnson and their coach, via satellite on Wednesday. The students were competing in the Christopher Columbus awards at Walt Disney World.

On Friday, we learned the students won gold medals and $2,000 savings bond for their project, which would use wind turbines to generate electricity for farm irrigation.
