Lubbock County Commissioners Seek Highway Overpass for Woodrow Road - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock County Commissioners call it one of the most dangerous intersections in the county, and on Monday, they plan to ask the Texas Department of Transportation for some help. 

Commissioners will send a formal request to TX-DOT that an overpass be built at U.S. 87 and Woodrow Road. 

The intersection has been the site of a number of serious accidents and County Commissioner Bill McCay says the county wants to do anything it can to improve driver safety.

The final decision will be up to TX-DOT, who would also foot the bill.
