Two Killed in Friday Evening Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Two people were killed and another seriously injured when a semi truck slammed into their car in Northwest Floyd County Friday evening.  

DPS says the semi failed to yield the right-of-way to a Mustang at FM 788 and FM 2301 around 7:30pm.

24-year-old Malachi Fonseca of Olton, and 14-year-old Ashton Herrera were pronounced dead at the scene.

Herrera's father, 34-year-old Eugene Herrera, was taken to Covenant Medical Center, where he was in critical condition at last report.

It is unknown if the semi driver was injured.
