Tuesday afternoon, a Lubbock grand jury indicted a number of people on cases ranging from murder to aggravated robbery.
Terrance McBrewer, Marshone Sheppard and Jason Wadley are all indicted for aggravated assault and murder for the shooting death of 36-year-old Charles Alvin Thomas. Investigators say the men shot Thomas, in the 1800 block of East First Place, after he asked the men for a cigarette last month.
The grand jury also indicted Darene Brooks, 19, for aggravated assault for the hit-and-run death of Joniqua Washington, 19, and for injuring Erin Mika Wright, 21, in the parking lot of the Lizard Club last month.
Domingo Flores is out of the hospital and now indicted on aggravated assault charges. He was shot by Lubbock police after reportedly pointing a gun at them during a confrontation at 39th and Avenue N last month.
Finally, they are accused of breaking into a Lubbock motel, robbing a man and stealing his SUV. Now, Gwendolyn Hunter, Esteban Prieto and Michael Taylor are indicted for aggravated robbery.
