Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Wreck - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock motorcyclist is in the emergency room after a hit-and-run accident in Southeast Lubbock.

Just before 3:00 p.m. Monday, DPS Troopers say 30-year-old Laura Ybarra was driving an Expedition south on MLK toward 98th Street. Troopers say motorcyclist Joe Hill attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot and was struck by the Expedition.

Ybarra allegedly fled the scene, but officials caught up with her minutes later. The 53-year-old Hill was transported to University Medical Center. No charges have been filed against Ybarra, pending an investigation.
