Lubbock City Hall may soon have another lawsuit on its hands. In a letter sent to the city Friday, AAG, the city's former health insurance provider, is now accusing the city of tortuous interference, business disparagement, and breach of contract.
This development comes four months after Lubbock City Attorney Anita Burgess announced a lawsuit against AAG. That lawsuit claims the health insurance provider, run by businessman Ted Parker, owes the city thousands of dollars in refunds, rebates and marketing fees.
The letter sent to city hall gives them proper notice and sets the stage for a lawsuit.
