Rangers Sign Cedeno and Duchscherer - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The Texas Rangers announced one year deals with right handed pitchers Jovanny Cedeno and Justin Duchscherer. Terms of the contracts weren't released.

Cedeno pitched in just three games at Charlotte in 2001 before missing the rest of the season with a torn right labrum. Duchscherer combined to go 13 - 6 with a 2.47 ERA in 25 starts for Trenton, Tulsa, and Oklahoma. Duchscherer was 1 - 1, with a 12.27 ERA in five games with Texas last year.

Meanwhile, Texas held its first full workout on Thursday with 63 players at spring training in Port Charlotte, Florida. The only player missing from camp is outfielder Juan Gonzalez, who's not expected until Monday. He is attending to personal business in Puerto Rico.
