Man Drags Woman Behind Truck

A woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance after a man drug her behind his truck Saturday afternoon.

Lubbock police tell NewsChannel 11 they are trying to figure out the exact relationship between the couple at this time, but say they were in an argument when Cecelia Martinez attempted to take off in his truck around 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police say he drug the woman a couple hundred yards in a parking lot behind the United Grocery Store on Avenue Q.

Martinez fled the scene but was pulled over in the 2000 block of 63rd street about 20 minutes later.

He was arrested, but has not been charged at this time.

Police found the woman laying in the Family Dollar parking lot. She was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
