AutoZone Robbery May Be Linked To Others

Thursday morning, authorities are looking for a suspect in a robbery at AutoZone in North Lubbock.

Police responded to 1907 4th street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, after a suspect robbed AutoZone. NewsChannel 11 has learned the suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He apparently then fled North across the Marsha Sharp construction zone.

The robber is described as a Hispanic male who was last seen wearing a baseball cap, green camouflage shorts and black t-shirt. Police say the suspect's description is similar to others in just over a week.

On Sunday, a gunman robbed Carquest Auto Parts at 115 North University around 3:15 p.m. The suspect is described as an Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, purple shirt and brown shorts.

That description matches the suspect that robbed the Domino's Pizza at 5407 4th Street last Thursday. The suspect in that case is also an Hispanic man, about 5' 10" tall, with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a red shirt, and cut off jeans.

In addition, last Tuesday, a man armed with a knife held up the Nothing Butt Smokes at 904 Slide Road. That suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a goatee, last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.

Police believe all four robberies may be related. If you have any information, call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
