Lead Singer of The Hometown Boys Dies

The lead singer of a Lubbock-based Tejano group has died.

Ricky Martinez was the lead singer of the Grammy-award winning band The Hometown Boys. He died around midnight Friday, in Alice, Texas.

A funeral for Martinez is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, here in Lubbock.
